Can I place an order by telephone?
We do not accept phone orders, checks or money orders. All purchases must be made online. All payments are securely encrypted and processed through our highly rated and widely trusted payment partner, PayPal. They accept most major credit cards and even bank transfers, and there is no need to have a PayPal account.

What are these things made of?
Our signs, plaques and clocks are created with wood MDF. The wood MDF we use is made in the USA and it is CARB certified. (California Air Resources Board's airborne toxic control measure). Wood MDF is used in fine cabinetry, mouldings and decorative trim, furniture and myriad other uses within our homes. Extremely durable, it is a consistently smooth, hard and uniform material. MDF is not as climate sensitive as some woods because it is less prone to warping and cracking in areas of high or low humidity. And, it is a recycled product! Plaques and clocks are produced on quarter inch thick MDF stock. Dimensionally cut plaques are crafted on eighth inch thick MDF.

What makes your clocks "tick"?
We use high quality quartz movements that are virtually silent. It's important to note that when the battery is installed, the clock hands will not visibly jump forward. Rather they smoothly advance. After several moments movement will be detected. Please be patient. All clocks require one AA battery that is not included. Clock faces are not covered. Hands styles will vary and most have a specially applied, distressed finish. All time movements are tested for 30 continuous days prior to shipment. Any clock that leaves our studio is verified to be working properly prior to shipment. By the way, clocks make the perfect gift! Read the product descriptions for clock dimensions. Round clocks all hang - other shapes may stand or hang.

Do you ever have a "sale"?
Yes. We don't barrage your inbox with email, but the offers we do send are worthwhile. You can either opt-in to our mailing list at checkout or sign up for our studio letter to receive special offers. REMEMBER to opt in if you receive a confirmation email, or your address will not validate and you will not receive our mailing. We never share your email address with anyone. Ever!

How do you ship and when will I get my order?
We ship most orders via US Postal Service Priority Mail. Priority Mail is fast and we can track your shipment online to make certain it arrives. Remember, your item is made at time of order. Most items ship within 3-5 business days after we receive your order. Transit time can vary based on customer address. Consider an additional 3-5 days for delivery, after we send tracking information. Large orders may require additional production time prior to shipping. We will email you with tracking and shipping information for your order.

What about international sales?
We do not ship internationally. We have many international customers, however they use U.S. based package forwarding services. We do not endorse or recommend any particular forwarding service.

Can I use this outdoors?
We do not recommend that you use our products out of doors. But, if you insist, do so only in highly weather protected areas and out of direct sunlight.

What type of payment do you accept?
Our checkout page will take you to a fully secure checkout page at PayPal.com. You may use MasterCard, VISA, American Express - any major credit card. All payments are processed through PayPal online. You may also pay by check through PayPal. Simply follow the instructions during checkout. PayPal™ is secure. You can be fully assured your transaction is protected by state of the art encryption methods. We do not store any financial information on our site.

What about returns?
We offer a 30 day return window from date of purchase. You must email us to obtain a return authorization. We will not accept a return without our prior authorization. Refunds are made through the original payment method and will be processed within 72 hours.

Customized products are not refundable.

We carefully inspect each item we produce prior to shipping to insure it is of the highest quality. Time movements are tested for 30 days prior to shipping. Any problems experienced with the time movement is almost always because of a weak or expired battery. We require you check the expiration on your battery, insure the battery is installed properly and make certain the clock hands are not in some way blocked or hindered from moving freely.

Please remember, each product is handmade at the time of order. In the event you must return an item, please email us with details as to the reason for your return request and we will work with you to arrange the return. We will refund the cost of the product less return shipping.

IMPORTANT: All items are individually created and will therefore have distinct variations in finish and color. We work very hard to display color values as they actually appear on finished product. Because of the wide variance in the way computer monitors display colors, slight hue and shade variations may exist between final product and computer image. This does not constitute a defect in workmanship.

Consider your purchase as fragile. Invest time and care to repackage the item appropriately for return shipping. Items damaged in return shipping will not be fully refunded.

Warranty
Our time movements have a one year guarantee.  All movements are tested and working properly prior to shipping.  Should a problem with the movement arise, contact us through email (see our contact page) with details of your request. Include your order number, the date of purchase and describe the item.  If a new movement is required within 1 year of purchase, we will send one replacement time movement with installation instructions at no charge. Individual time movements are available for purchase at any time through our website, product ID RM7906.

What is your Privacy Policy?
Fairy Freckles Studios does not share your information with third parties. We never have, we never will.

Notice how you don’t see any ads on our website?  That’s because we don’t partner with Google or anyone else.  Besides, we really want you to look at our products, not distract you with other offers that have nothing to do with what we are about.  So, when you visit us, it’s private.  You won’t see ads from us popping up in your browser just because you visited us.  If you buy something from us, cookies are required, but you can always clear those away after the purchase using the tools on your browser or through settings on your security firewall. 

Since we process your payment directly through PayPal, we never see or store any of your financial information.  That is all handled through PayPal’s world class, secure, encrypted and safe payment system. 

If you signed up for emails that we send periodically, we assume you are interested in what we have to offer, so occasionally we will send you an email.  But, if you decide you don’t want to hear from us, no worries, there is always an opportunity to unsubscribe from our list.  We will hate to see you go, but we understand.

And, that’s about it.  We don’t share info, we don’t store financial info and we do respect your choice on whether or not you wish to receive emails from us.

 

If I buy a product, can I use the image for other uses? Can I use images from your website?
No. Buying our products does not transfer license to or authorize use of our images to the buyer for any reason. Our website and each design presented is considered an original and is created in-house by our staff. And yes, our designs are officially registered with the US Copyright office. We vigorously protect our brand and pursue all violators through appropriate legal channels as they are discovered.

Unauthorized use includes using a screen capture of our images, electronic scanning or photographing a purchased product and/or using any other means of copying our designs and using them for any alternate purpose. We are also a member of the eBay Verified Rights of Ownership program.

It is disappointing that over the years, some visitors to our website assume many of our designs are in the public domain and are free for the taking. We frequently see screen captures of our work offered for sale on other products that we do not produce, license or endorse; particularly our perfume and soap label designs. Our designs are not intended for free download or for use on decals, pillows, clothing, shower curtains...well, you get the point.
